To the right is Kansas Governor Sam Brownback demonstrating the exact size of the lie he told the public yesterday concerning his reasons for cutting an additional $44.5 million from the state’s education budget.
“This has nothing to do with my income tax cuts,” Brownback chanted. “Nothing whatsoever.”
One of Brownback’s central campaign lies during last year’s re-election crusade was his undying support for education.
Kansans reelected Brownback, as well as Sen. Pat Roberts and Rep Kevin Yoder, largely because they’re gullible fools who can’t tell when someone is lying to their face.
Though this character defect has been noted as far back as 1900 –when L. Frank Baum published his famous treatise on the subject: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz— Kansans have enthusiastically embraced this failing.
