Shut Up and Vote

Seriously: shut up and vote.

Then tomorrow, or even later tonight, you can crap all over everything. Got it? Vote.

But first 1

…”If you look at every single major issue in this campaign, the American public agree with our position,” Biden said, “from federal support for infrastructure to minimum wage to marriage equality.”

Biden is right, and the numbers are staggering. Seventy percent of Americans support increasing the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour, according to the results of a CBS News/New York Times poll from September. When Gallup asked whether voters would be more likely to support candidates who want to spend federal government money on infrastructure repairs, 72 percent said they would. Polling from ABCNews/Washington Post, The New York Times/CBS News, and McClatchy-Marist all shows majority support for marriage equality. Add universal background checks and federal action to combat climate change to the growing list of progressive issues backed by large majorities of the electorate…

Uncle Joe may be a tad irrationally exuberant in his estimations, but truly he’s not far off. How then did America allow the party of slave holding-wannabes {and their even more lunatic fringe the Tea Party} to terrorize them  –again– into voting against their own interests? For a campaign of terror is what has been waged, make no mistake.

What the GOP and its considerable ilk promise is that if we elect them then they will cease their over-the-top efforts at destroying the government because, well, government bad. When the GOP take office, they will only resume a limited gorilla action against our government. What a deal.

And Americans are buying it, despite the fact that every economic indicator, every social survey shows the country miles ahead of the smoking rubble Shrub and The Dark Lord bequeathed us.

Despite that fact, despite the soaring Wall Street numbers, despite the increased jobs, despite the sheer gleeful relish of the GOP’s ill will (see res ipsa loquitur), it appears the majority of the voters today are still pissed off about something, spitting mad over an intangible neither of Obama’s or the Democrats making. And b’god these voters intend to do something about it!

Too bad what they’re about to do is teh stoopid.
