  1. Yes – they showed up with the intent of getting arrested, resisted arrest, got arrested. A tried and true protest tactic, going back in the modern era to at least the Viet Nam conflict.

    What intrigues me, however, is a couple of different things; i) the fact this was done via corporate sponsorship and ii) the fact that it’s genesis rose among members of Generation Y, the so-called “Millennials”: it seems preordained that Generation X will ever be the quintessential overlooked 2nd child, overshadowed by the 1st born Baby Boomer generation…

  2. I think you have a point. Gen X is just too damn cynical to waste time bothering to get arrested for a lost cause. Of course, I’m probably just projecting.
