Normally this would go right over to Op/Ed & Letters, but it’s a subject near and dear to everyones’ heart, so I’m posting it here:
News from City Hall: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Jan. 6, 2009
Public hearing to be Jan. 26 for Dave’s Stagecoach Inn
Input sought from eligible consenters about proposed expansion and extended hours
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division and the Liquor Control Board of Review will conduct a public hearing Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. regarding requests made by the owners of Dave’s Stagecoach Inn. The hearing will be held at the Regulated Industries Division office at Century Towers, 635 Woodland Ave.
The owners of the establishment submitted an application to the Regulated Industries Division to seek permission to expand the premises and extend the hours of operation to 3 a.m. The application was approved. At this public hearing, the Liquor Control Board of Review will seek input from eligible consenters to review the approval. For these liquor license changes, eligible consenters include people who live within 500 feet of the establishment, which is located at 316 Westport Road.
For more information about this hearing, call Gary Majors, manager of the Regulated Industries Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department, (816) 784-9020.
Let’s make sure we go and intimidate calmly reason with the local crack hos, street kidz and neighborhood cranks anyone silly enough to object to this, okay?
